The opening scene starts off with a medium shot and slowly turns into a long shot this is to set the environment she is in. This is also a tracking shot however the camera isn't moving so its static. It then moves to a close-up low angle shot of Wendy looking at the typewriter to show the reaction of what is on the typewriter. In then turns into a POV from Wendy looking down onto the typewriter (high angled shot) this is to show what Wendy is reacting and looking at. The camera shot goes back to a low angled close up shot of Wendy, this is until she looks towards her left which is where the zoom-in occurs. As Wendy is moving closer the camera zooms in further and further until its an extreme POV close-up of the stack of paper. The effect of this is to show Wendy's horrific realisation of what her husband has been working on whilst she isn't around. The camera shot used when Jack walks into the room is a track shot and then it turns into an over the shoulder shot. This makes us feel uncomfortable because Jack is creeping up on his own wife being very weird and abnormal.

  1. WWW: You have used media terminology when referring to camera angles and explained why particular shots have been used.

EBI: Expand into detail and analyse the impact on the audience. For example, what is the purpose of using a POV shot when Wendy looks at the papers?

LITERACY: Avoid over use of phrase 'it then' - as it makes it sound like you are re-telling the narrative. State the camera shot and focus on the impact / purpose it has.

SHOW ME: Expand into detail and add in the impact on the audience when analysing camera angles used. Also, consider the use of the sound - use terminology diegetic and non- diegetic. How does the sound entice an audience?
